Give me visuals

Over the years I've realized that I am a visual person. I need to see something being done for me to understand it. I need to see it so I can do it. A great example of this happened on Sunday. Taylor and I were putting up a giant 8-foot by 4-foot whiteboard sticker in the office. She was reading me the instructions on how the 2 of us were supposed to get it up and stick it to the wall. I was lost. I tuned out as I got lost trying to picture how that would work. I had to look at the instructions which had a few small graphics illustrating what to do.

I think my need and want for visuals have made some aspects of my life and business more complicated. Reading has always been a challenge for me, not that I don't know how to read but that I lose interest or my mind drifts into a different thought. I think it's because I need visuals. It's easier to learn when watching videos than it is when reading and the same goes for being entertained. I wish I could learn and be entertained by simple text but I don't think it'll happen.
